Using Behavioral Suitability Data to Increase Leadership Effectiveness - Part 1

In this discussion, we focus on deploying data that is under-utilized in many organizations - validated behavioral suitability data on one's natural tendencies,  motivations, attitudes and behavioral competencies. Unfortunately, when we discuss this with many, they often reflect on their efforts to use personality typing data, trying to find value in D or I or E or N "types". In fact, using "types" can often confuse or diminish accurate understanding of a person for a variety of reasons. Key among these reasons is the fact that most of these tools do not accurately measure trait intensity, negative traits or even enough traits. In this series (two segments), our objective is to give you some perspective for how a manager can use this to improve their leadership effectiveness. Our goal is to provide an overview of how you can use this behavioral data to create self-awareness and team awareness effectively. When you do this, you provide the foundation for organizational effectiveness, clarity of purpose, effective execution and successful leadership.

This is part 1 of 2.
